Emma was fantastic and did an amazing job with the makeup for our wedding. Everyone looked beautiful and felt their best. She was a pleasure to work with throughout the process—professional, organised, flexible, and reliable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented makeup artist.

I met Emma a couple of weeks ago after enquiring about hair and make up. I was rather pleased that she has had availability and very accomodating with my queries. I had such a great experience with Emma. She did hair and makeup for me (the bride) and my two bridesmaids, and absolutely nailed it. We all felt so confident and comfortable on the day – she really listened to what we wanted and delivered beautifully. What stood out was how down-to-earth and committed she was to delivering our requests. She made the whole morning feel calm and enjoyable, while still being super professional. She also explained what she was doing along the way, which made the whole process feel collaborative and reassuring. Lots of tips learned and taken away! Importantly, she didn’t charge an extortionate bridal premium when she understood the vibe and scale of our nuptials, which I massively appreciated – her pricing was fair and transparent. Especially given how informal and relaxed our mid-week, registry office ‘do’ was. (Other MUAs hadn’t felt able to take this into account). If you’re looking for someone who’s talented, personable, and genuinely cares about getting it right, Emma is the one to book. I’d go back to her in a heartbeat for any events if I lived locally!

My daughter just hosted her 11th birthday party with Emma at The Glam Lounge. The girls loved it! They enjoyed facials, nails, make-up tutorial and hair. Highly recommend. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon x

When I first met Emma I knew I wanted to book my first-ever makeup tutorial with her; she really put me at ease (and I’m usually a little bit intimidated by makeup artists!) My session in her gorgeous salon was everything I hoped for and more. She’s clearly very knowledgeable, not just on applying makeup, but about skincare and nutrition. I loved learning from her, and I especially loved that she LISTENED to me, my concerns and my desire to not look “made-up”. She taught me so much about how to make better use of my existing makeup and whilst she did recommend a few brilliant new products, there was no hard sell which I appreciated; I guess that’s because she’s not affiliated with any particular brand and uses what is best for each particular client. I came away looking like me, but the most gorgeous me ever, and, most importantly, I feel confident that I can create the same magic at home. I can’t wait to receive my e-book, she told me so much useful stuff that I know I won’t remember it all. I absolutely loved my morning with Emma and I just wish that I had met her before my wedding many moons ago, because I’d have loved to have her on that special day. Thank you so much Emma.

Emma came back really quick to say she had availability, I had sent her a few ideas on how I like my make up, but left Emma to create the finished look!! I was so happy with what she had done for me! I absolutely loved my make up, she talked me through all the products she used throughout and checked in with me to see if I was happy as we went along! Great service! Would recommend and if I am in Harrogate again I will be coming back 🥰

Wow – where to even start on Emma – she is absolutely incredible. I searched far and wide to find someone to do my makeup on my wedding day (and had a few trails that made me realise the person wasn’t right) before a friend recommended Emma. From the moment I had the trial, I knew I’d found the right person – she really listened to me, and rather than covering my skin, she excelled at making me look like the best version of myself. On the wedding itself she was amazing, she brought such a feeling of calm and joy, managing to not only do my makeup but my mothers and my bridesmaids. I also bought a voucher for my mother to see Emma for a facial treatment and to get her colours done, ahead of the wedding, and she loved it. Not only that, but I came back to see Emma around a year later (last week) for a makeup lesson as I was running low on some kit and wanted to check that I was, well, getting things right, and had the most enjoyable and informative time with her with some fantastic skincare and makeup recommendations. It’s a joy to be able to speak to someone that doesn’t have an affiliation but can also tailor it to what suits you – it’s made a real difference in how I do my makeup and given me much more confidence in what I do. I cannot recommend Emma more highly, I think she is one of the hidden gems of Harrogate and whilst she’s only known by word of mouth, I wish I could shout more loudly about how truly brilliant she is.
