My Philosophy

I believe beauty is for everyone and a fundamental tool to improve wellbeing and confidence. As a professional makeup artist, with a passion for healthy skin and the knowledge that a flawless, long-lasting look begins with a tailored skincare routine.
My mission is to educate clients on how to enhance their features, teaching them the techniques to develop their skills and knowledge.
Watching clients transform into the most confident version of themselves is the best part of being a makeup artist.

Background

I graduated with a BA Hons Fashion degree in 2003 to pursue a career in the fashion industry. I worked under Phillip Green in the Arcadia Group and across the House of Fraser brands as an international fashion designer and buyer.

My passion for fashion and evolving trends extended to makeup and beauty. When I travelled internationally for work, I would go to the leading beauty retailers to find the latest products and experiment for hours recreating fashion looks.

After leaving Fashion for Children, I completed a PGCE and taught Art & Design to 11-18-year-olds, part-time in secondary and higher education, while I raised my family. However, my passion was still in fashion and beauty.  I decided to retrain as a make up artist, graduating from Celebrity make up artist Cassie Lomas Make up academy. I worked as a Make up artist for Space nk, whilst building my skills and experience. I completed further qualifications at Tony & Guy for hair styling and was awarded diplomas in cosmetic dermatology, facials, nails and brows at Leeds Beauty College and a diploma in holistic naturopathic nutrition to understand skin at a cellular level.

I bring my unique and diverse skill set to every client or job, full of enthusiasm. I work on my own or as part of a team to create the desired aesthetic. Career highlights have been assistant MUA to Cassie Lomas on celebrity photoshoots, working as a MUA on fashion photoshoots and runways.
