Wow – where to even start on Emma – she is absolutely incredible. I searched far and wide to find someone to do my makeup on my wedding day (and had a few trails that made me realise the person wasn’t right) before a friend recommended Emma. From the moment I had the trial, I knew I’d found the right person – she really listened to me, and rather than covering my skin, she excelled at making me look like the best version of myself. On the wedding itself she was amazing, she brought such a feeling of calm and joy, managing to not only do my makeup but my mothers and my bridesmaids. I also bought a voucher for my mother to see Emma for a facial treatment and to get her colours done, ahead of the wedding, and she loved it. Not only that, but I came back to see Emma around a year later (last week) for a makeup lesson as I was running low on some kit and wanted to check that I was, well, getting things right, and had the most enjoyable and informative time with her with some fantastic skincare and makeup recommendations. It’s a joy to be able to speak to someone that doesn’t have an affiliation but can also tailor it to what suits you – it’s made a real difference in how I do my makeup and given me much more confidence in what I do. I cannot recommend Emma more highly, I think she is one of the hidden gems of Harrogate and whilst she’s only known by word of mouth, I wish I could shout more loudly about how truly brilliant she is.
